We're The Smiths
Founders of Mr. Amigo and Kansas natives who sold everything, quit our jobs and started building our dream life in Spain.
We moved to Spain in September 2021 with 4 suitcases, 2 rescue dogs, and 7 months pregnant. It's been one of the most fulfilling journeys we've ever taken but it hasn't been all sunshine and sangria.
There were moments of deep loneliness, crushing overwhelm, and serious doubt about whether or not we made the right decision.
But everything changed when we found our people. Spanish locals who welcomed us, expats who understood what it’s like to start over, and others who shared the same dream of building an extraordinary life in Spain. As our community grew, we slowly stopped feeling like outsiders and began to feel like we truly belonged here.
Now, our mission is to make it as easy as possible for others to chase this same dream and to never have to do it alone.
